We all know most dates are not written in stone. Weather, Fire, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Flood, Tsunami, or Invasion from Outer Space, etc. just might change things.
Some will fall by the wayside and others will be spontaneously added by members at our meetings, as is our tradition.

*    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *

These (BELOW) are hard dates by group consensus, which are written in stone. This year is another ambitious schedule that will offer many diverse environments, an aspect we love about the great out-of-doors. A schedule that will test commitment, vigor, resources, patience, and some days… resolve, but challenges worthy of all.

Particular attention needs to be drawn to;
MAY Pinnacles State Park
JUNE Columbia River Gorge Backpacking Trip in Oregon
JULY Rafting Trip Cache Creek
JULY Sequoia Kings Canyon Backpacking
AUG–– Highway 50 (Echo Pass Lodge) to Highway I-80

This year promises to be great fun. See you on the trail,

Hiking and Backpacking for all levels of experience.
From the:
 High Sierras of Lassen, Sequoia & Yosemite National Parks.
Desolation Wilderness, Mt. Whitney and the Coastal Range etc.

From: Day Hikes to Week Long Treks!

Activity Planning Meetings will be held on Second Tuesday of the month, at Perko's CafĂ© & Grill, on 4300 E. State Route 88,
in Stockton at 7PM.
(Waterloo Road on the West side of Hwy. 99)

Even if you've never been backpacking before,
we can help you learn!
The core Team Leaders each have hundreds of hours of backpacking in the wilderness, and National Parks like Yosemite.

We have all done several week long or better treks, we all have been trained and have then taught the finer points of backpacking: meal preparation and planning, personal equipment, clothing selection, maps & compass, GPS, trip planning, wilderness etiquette, packing light, orientation, photography, 'Leave No Trace' and Wilderness First Aid.

The Central Valley Backpacking and Hiking Club was founded in Dec. 2009, is a non-commercial group, and run entirely by unpaid volunteers and dedicated to the enjoyment of nature and wilderness through hiking & backpacking.
We are NOT an outfitter, nor are we a guide service. It is a co-operative for hiking and backpacking.
The principle of a group like ours is that you benefit by having fellowship with other like minded folks and for companionship.

If all slots are taken, you can still put in for a 'Standby' position if anyone chooses to cancel their slot.

* Deposit Required to secure your slot *
